This group will be in charge of conducting research and provide reports of the 17 Global Goals and how they are being achieved in the Downey area (and if possible, expanded in neighboring cities).

From these reports, we will be able to conduct thorough awareness workshops for residents.  

We will engage in the following advocacy efforts: post-card campaigns, to town hall, to letters to the editors and much more!

With the help from the research committee, this committee will be able to provide useful information for constituents to engage with their elected officials in meaningful conversations about the Global Goals.  

Our fundraising efforts will help us be able to to carry out the mission of the organization (i.e.,

distribute information to residents about the Global Goals) and by also making a difference by donating to various programs affiliated with the United Nations Foundation.

Members will actively participate in forming and carrying out the social media strategy of the organization. They will attend meetings, bring ideas and creative energy to the group, and implement strategies as assigned, including engaging with the organization on social media platforms, promoting the social media accounts of the organization and inviting others to become involved.​
